Discovery Principle 5/10: Field Validation

It's so easy to fall in love with our ideas. Even worse, our brain is wired to take shortcuts based on a few signals or our own experience. This confirmation bias was extremely valuable when we needed to find food to survive. Unfortunately, when it's about innovating and building tech products customers will love, we must remember that our brain plays against us.
We must validate our ideas on real users and customers. The right thing to build is always different from what we had initially in mind, so it's critical to go through this experimental and refinement process before we invest too much in building the wrong feature or product.
