Fostering a culture of feedback

We all learned to stand on our feet before walking and most children needed weeks and weeks before being able to walk with confidence. The same is true with teams: we're all very average if not bad at the beginning!
This is why it's so important to establish and nurture a culture of feedback: your starting point doesn't really matter if you keep listening and applying feedback, it's only a matter of time before getting to the top.
One of the easiest ways, but also one of the most effective, is to include a feedback loop in all team interactions. Whether it's a discussion, a meeting, a presentation, a workshop, teams should always take a couple of minutes to share feedback to improve the collaboration and be better next time. At Netflix it's expected employees should share feedback as soon and as openly as possible. For more traditional work environments, a tool like the ROTI can be great!
